As one of the top tourism hotspots in Ontario, Niagara Falls has no shortage of cafes. While Tim Hortons and Starbucks are pretty much everywhere, there are a handful of independent coffee shops in Niagara Falls that are not to be missed. Whether you’re looking for that habitual cup of a joe, a boost of energy mid-afternoon during your adventures, or you’re a tea drinker, you’ll want to have these Niagara Falls coffee shops on your radar.
Mr Cappuccino Coffee Bar
In an area where Starbucks and Tim Hortons are everywhere, Mr Cappuccino Coffee is a breath of local fresh air. On the edge of downtown Niagara Falls, you’ll find this warm, inviting cafe that will make you want to stay a while!
As you can imagine, they have every espresso-based beverage you could think of. Combine that with numerous flavour shots and you can enjoy your beverage just the way you like it! While you may be tempted to go for your usual latte, we highly recommend trying their namesake beverage. What’s in it? We’ll let you find you by ordering a “Mr Cappuccino” but considering it was crafted by Mr Cappuccino himself… you know it’s going to be good!
While you can get your drink to go, I recommend cozying up at one of the tables in the cafe. With numerous fireplaces and plenty of greenery sprinkled throughout, it creates a calming ambiance perfect for a little date spot or catching up with an old friend. There are also some plugs around so if you’re looking to settle in and get some work done, Mr Cappuccino is a great option!

Catalina’s Bakery & Cafe
Nestled in the quaint neighbourhood of Chippewa you’ll find not just one of the best coffee shops in Niagara Falls but certainly one of the cutest!
Catalina’s Bakery & Cafe brings South Korean flavours to Niagara through their eats, treats and of course, beverages. Here you’ll find several unique coffee-based drinks you won’t find anywhere else. Two fantastic options are their Korean coffee which is one the sweeter side and can be enjoyed hot or iced. Next is their Volcano coffee which is made with black sugar and a fantastic beverage for a hot summer day as it only comes iced. However, my personal favourite has to be their Dalgona coffee which is a frothy iced coffee that’s topped with incredible sponge toffee bits made in-house!
Whatever you choose to get, make sure you allow some time for it to be prepared as everything is made from scratch. It will take more time than you might be used to but trust me, Catalina’s is well worth the wait! This Niagara Falls cafe is small but you can enjoy your beverage at one of the bar stools by the window or take it to go and enjoy a walk along the Niagara River in front of you.

Third Space Cafe
Head to the heart of downtown Niagara Falls where you’ll find the Third Space Cafe. This is the only coffee shop in Niagara Falls which roasts their own beans meaning you’ll always enjoy top quality coffee! They also make their syrups in-house including the chai for the tea latte drinkers out there! You’ll also find great eats such as tasty breakfast sandwiches, bagels, wraps and more.
However, Third Space Cafe is more than just a coffee shop. It’s also a welcoming community space that addresses food security and housing issues in Niagara Falls. Their morning breakfast program operates every day they’re open where anyone in need can come in and enjoy a warm meal.
Prioritizing compassion and social change above profits, Third Space Cafe has been making a difference in the neighbourhood for over five years now. Stop by, grab a coffee and don’t forget to peruse the artwork as everything sold helps fund their community outreach programming!

Table Rock House Restaurant
So this may not be a cafe but if you’re looking for coffee shops in Niagara Falls with a view, you won’t find a better view of the falls than at the Table Rock House Restaurant!
Settle into one of the tables by their massive windows where you’ll be treated to brilliant views of the Niagara River and the Horseshoe Falls. You’ll be mesmerized watching the water as it travels over the crest along with the people watching as folks walk the Niagara Parkway below you.
In regards to the coffee, you’ll find your typical espresso-based options including lattes, cappuccinos and mocaccinos. Any coffee beverage can be flavoured with either caramel or vanilla at no extra cost which is a win in my books! And with prices being pretty on part with most cafes in Niagara Falls, it’s a great spot for a quick energy boost. However, this is one of the best restaurants in Niagara Falls so you might be tempted to get a little snack or sweet treat.
If you do decide to get something to eat, you’ll be eating local as the Table Rock House Restaurant is FeastON certified meaning at least 25% of the ingredients used are sourced from Ontario producers. However, that number is often higher! We highly recommend the Ontario burrata as a delicious appetizer or the Niagara ice gelato if you’re in the mood for something sweet.

Vincenzo’s Cafe
Tucked away in an unsuspecting plaza off Portage Road, Vincenzo’s Cafe will give you a little taste of Italy in Niagara Falls. You’ll feel right at home as you’re welcomed into what feels like a friend’s living room… dare I say Vincenzo’s living room as you just might meet him yourself!
For over 15 years, Vincenzo’s Cafe has been serving 100% organic fair-trade coffee sourced directly from Honduras. Grown on hills 5000 ft above sea level, you’ll find their coffee is complex and preparing them using Italian techniques brings out the flavour! While coffee is their main focus at Vincenzo’s, tea drinkers have to try their Italian Fog. This tea latte is slightly sweet with a hint of hazelnut and almond. I recommend leaving the tea bag in to fully enjoy the rich, complex flavours. Don’t forget to check for their seasonal beverages if you’re looking for something a little different!
For a quaint spot to get away from the world and enjoy a tasty coffee that will transport you to Italy with a splash of old world charm, look no further than Vincenzo’s Cafe in Niagara Falls.

More Coffee Shops in Niagara Falls
While the above are our top picks for coffee shops in Niagara Falls, there are certainly more options to check out! Here are some more recommendations for a caffeine boost when in the city.
Brew Deli + Cafe – This self-serve cafe inside the Table Rock Centre offers a variety of grab-and-go beverages as well as eats and treats. If you’re expecting a full sit-down cafe experience, this isn’t for you but for those on the go who need a boost when exploring Niagara Falls, I highly recommend their cookie dough latte!
Bar Barista – If you find yourself at the Fallsview Casino or are staying close by during your visit to Niagara Falls, you can sip on delicious lattes in this high-end European coffeehouse. Floor-to-ceiling windows and lavish velvet sofas make this the bougiest coffee shop in Niagara Falls.
Italian Ice Cream – While they’re more known for their ice cream and gelato, this family-owned business serves espresso-based drinks as well as tea. Their outdoor patio is a great spot to enjoy an iced beverage on a sunny summer day!
Euro Cafe – If you’re looking for some old school European vibes to go with your coffee, this is the spot for you. Later in the day, it becomes a pretty bumpin’ sports bar so if that’s not your style, I recommend an earlier visit.
Paris Crepes Cafe – This spot in the heart of downtown Niagara Falls may be known for its crepes but they also offer some great coffee options. Try their French press coffee with locally roasted Barocco beans or something a little sweeter like the Cafe Viennois with espresso, chantilly cream and chocolate syrup.
The Flour Mill Scratch Kitchen – While it’s not exactly a coffee shop, The Old Stone Inn’s restaurant features a beautiful high tea experience. Enjoy a variety of mini sandwiches, scones and pastries in their gorgeous dining room on Fridays from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm as well as Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 am until 2:30 pm.
